When this drama was published in “Prabasi” magazine, it became “Roktokabari”. The main theme of the drama was how the greedy nature of human beings destroys every beautiful and pretty things in human life. In this drama, we can see a story of a kingdom named “Yakhhapuri”. The king of Yakhhapuri was so much cruel and merciless. There is a gold mine in Yakhhapuri. The miner labors of the mine were so irritated and uncomfortable for the king. And with various twists, the story goes on.

About the poet:

Rabindranath Tagore was a notable Bengali poet, novelist, composer, playwright, illustrator, short story writer, essayist, vocalist, and philosopher. He is treated as the best literary writer of Bengali literature, He is titled is “biswakabi”,”kabiguru” etc. In his writings, he expresses many sides of the society of his time. In his writings, we can see that he was also thoughtful about nature. He was the first Asian literary who received the Nobel prize in 1913.
