Most of the letters in this collection were written to Netaji’s mother Prabhavati Bose, Mejdada Saratchandra Bose, Mejbaudidi Bibhavati Bose, Deshbandhu-wife Shri Basanti Devi, and Netaji’s friends Hemant Kumar Sarkar, Dilip Kumar Roy, Charuchandra Ganguly. Other letters were written to Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay, Gopallal Sanyal, Haricharan Bagchi, Anil Chandra Biswas, Bhupendranath Bandyopadhyay, Anathbandhu Dutta, Kalyani Devi.
