Narayan Debnath Comics Samagra : The great illustrator Narayan Debnath was born in 1925 in Shibpur, Howrah. He has set an outstanding example in Bengali children’s literature by creating more than one and a half thousand serious and funny comics. Most of the comic stories, screenplays, dialogues, and imagery are his own creations. Such instances are rare in the world. His first funny comic ‘Handa-Bhonda’ passed fifty years in 2012. He was a perfect painting artist long before his comics gained popularity. He has embellished the writings of almost all the famous writers of his contemporaries. His painted cover-ornaments are a rare resource in world publishing.
