Taradas Bandyopadhyay was the only son of the great legendary Bengali penman Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay. Taradas was also well-known as a fiction writer. His remarkable work are ‘Kajal’, ‘Taranath’ Tantrik’, ‘Alatchakra’, ‘Roho Roho’, Kal Nirabadhi’ etc. He came in the light of fame mainly for his novel ‘Kajal’. Here he expanded his father’s novels ‘Pather Panchali’ and ‘Aparajit’ in this novel.
