About the novel Bou-Thakuranir Haat:
‘Bou-Thakuranir Haat’ by Rabindranath Tagore is based on a true story about the family of king Pratapaditya who was the king of Jashor. This novel is a tragic historical novel. The story of the novel is about family and personal conflicts. Bou-thakuranir haat is one of the early novel by Rabindranath Tagore so the writing skill of “Biswakabi” is not so professional. But this novel has the touch of Rabindranath’s poetrical side. Bou-thakuranir haat was publshed in 1883. A Bengali film named “Prayaschitya” was released in 1909 which story was based on this novel.
