Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay (12th September, 1894 – 1st September, 1950) was a popular Indian Bengali fiction creator. He achieved fame by writing novels and short stories. His most noteworthy novels are ‘Panther Panchali’ and ‘Aparajita’. ‘Pather Panchali’ is the first novel of his written. This novel has been translated into various Indian languages and in various Western languages including English and French.
‘Trinagkur’ is the name of his autobiographical book. This eminent author also wrote a lot short stories as ‘Meghmollar’, ‘Mouriphul’, ‘Jatrabadal’, ‘Kinnardal’ etc. And some novels name mention here- ‘Aranyak’, ‘Adarsha Hindu Hotel’, ‘Ichchhamati’, ‘Ashani Sanket’ etc.
