Feluda (Felu Mittir) whose real name is Prodosh Chandra Mitra, he a a fictional detective character and this character created by prominent Bengali author Satyajit Ray. Till now Feluda is a very popular fictional private investigator character in Bangla literature and the mystery of Feluda is very complicated.
The first story of the Feluda series “Feludar Goyendagiri” was published in Sandesh Patrika in the year of 1965. There are thirty-five full and four unfinished stories and novels were published in this series from 1965 to 1997. There are also many important characters in this series, Feluda’s main assistant his cousin brother Taposh Ranjan Mitra alias Topse, writer Lalmohan Ganguli anonym Jatayu and many more. The author Satyajit Ray was influenced by the story of Sherlock Holmes to create Feluda’s character that he read in his childhood.
